Supporting the Building Bricks Pre-School to extend Children’s Learning using up to date equipment.

James Ward recently made a visit to the Building Bricks Pre-School based at Swanland, just outside of Hull, to support them with a project to enhance their ICT equipment.

Building Bricks Pre-School provides care for 40 children per session aged from 2.5 to 5 years of age. The pre-school has an excellent reputation based on quality standards of play and learning for young children and a well qualified, experienced and committed staff team.

The team decided to further develop their ideas on how they can enhance and extend children’s learning using up-to-date equipment and resources to benefit everyone and chose to approach Electric String for support.

How Electric String supported the project:

James met with the team to talk through their needs and expectations to help them select the right type of equipment to ensure they achieved the results they hoped for.

James then worked to deliver, install and train the team members on how to use the equipment and provided support and advice as and where required. The Pre-school now has a 50 inch TV monitor, a robust trolley system to ensure flexible use and transportation of the device into different areas and an Apple TV device to receive the internet and a host of different educational programmes.

The team at Building Bricks Pre-School have been so grateful of the support and technological advice and equipment received they have provided a positively glowing review, which Electric String are proud to share.

“We now have the most amazing piece of equipment introduced into our everyday curriculum to make our play and learning for children even more fabulous. Each session we play music and action songs for the children to listen to and dance to and develop their communication and physical skills. We develop children’s individual interests by helping them to fact find, investigate and carry out research – dinosaur names, shapes and what they like for tea is currently popular! We take videos to share with children via the screen, such as of their Christmas Concert performances and a recent outdoor physical activity session. We use lots of photos, videos and slide screen presentations to share with parents to help keep them informed and updated and by downloading a range of appropriate programmes we help to make such as phonics, literacy, colour recognition and maths so much more fun!

A huge thank you to James and Electric String for all their help, guidance and advice and for making our children so happy and well supported in so many different ways during their very important pre-school years!” Jackie and the Building Bricks Team
